Is God’s favour upon us?
One day, going to the mountains with my friends, for prayer and consecration, I saw a lorry. On the face of the lorry, were words written, “Psalm 90:17”. It stuck in my mind and I said to myself, as soon as we get to the mountains, I am going to read that verse.
Because! In life I have come to understand that prophecy comes through small things and through our ability to interpret small things. Like, why is everyone wearing red today, why did that grasshopper jump into my dish full of water and even why is the same Word of God coming to my attention? So definitely, before reaching the mountains, hunger and thirst for this verse was already allover me!
Navigating through the Spirit, before opening the Bible, I started to think of those famous verses we find in the book of Psalms 91, like:
“Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty” Psalms 91:1
“You will not fear the terror of night, nor the arrow that flies by day nor the pestilence that stalks in the darkness, nor the plague that destroys at midday. A thousand may fall at your, ten thousand at your right hand, but it will not come near you. You will only observe with your eyes and see the punishment of the wicked” Psalms 91:5-8
For he will command his angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways; they will lift you in their hands, so that you will not strike your foot against a stone”, Psalms 91: 11-16
“…With long life I will satisfy him and show him my salvation”. Psalms 91:16
Reading Psalms 91, I have come to understand that, for us to find God’s Salvation, it comes through His Grace and Favour upon our lives. How do we come to this stage? Indeed Psalm 90, has something to say about this…
Psalm 90, teaches us that, from everlasting to everlasting God is God! The Almighty full of Power and Blessings! This means in God we find ourselves and our all. Our lifespan is short like beautiful grass that withers by day end.
Our iniquities and secret sins are in the light of God’s presence and without God, we are born moaning and we will finish our days with a moan; the best of our days being trouble and sorrow. This is a perfect picture of our lives! Meaning, knowledge of this will empower us to know ourselves and to know exactly what we have to do at the right time.
Psalm 90, has crossed the borders of understanding, by revealing some secrets of the Heavenly places. As it is written on verse 12:
“Teach us to number our days, that we may gain a heart of wisdom”.
I pray that as the day comes and goes! Let us fully live in it, receive its Blessings and fulfill all our purposes in this life. In the Mighty name of Jesus Christ! I pray that, we be satisfied everyday in the morning by God’s door of unfailing love opening before us and perfectly spending the whole day in it, all the days of our lives.
Indeed! Salvation is when God’s door of unfailing love opens for us all! Ladies and Gentlemen let us rejoice and be glad, all our days! For God’s love will never fail us! Because it never fails. God’s love changes the way we live our lives and view our lives and it also creates a new life in our lives!
Where there was sorrow, God gives life! Where there was affliction, God gives happiness. It is indeed in God’s joy that his Power manifests in our lives and all our needs are provided by Him.
Without God’s Favour in our lives, we shall not see his Salvation and understand the life we living in! But fully become servants of iniquities and sin. Meaning! Is it difficult to sin without God’s presence in our lives? Of course not!
